Affiliate Terms
Last updated: October 2026. Between you and Digital Book of India Private Limited (“the Company”). You accept these terms when you apply.
In short: if you have at least 2,000 followers and we approve your page, you get a personal link. For every seller who joins through it, pays the registration (listing) fee and is approved, you earn 20% of that fee, GST excluded. TDS of 2% is deducted once your commission in a financial year crosses ₹20,000. You are an independent creator, not an employee or agent of the Company.
1. Who can join
- You need a public Instagram, Facebook, YouTube or other page with at least 2,000 real followers. You tell us your follower count; we check it by looking at your page, we do not verify it automatically.
- One person, one mobile number, one email and one page per affiliate. Your mobile and email must be verified with the codes we send.
- Applications start as Pending Approval. We may approve or reject an application, and we do not have to give a reason beyond a short note. Bought, fake or hidden followers lead to rejection or suspension.
2. Your link and who gets the credit
- Once approved you get a unique referral link. Share it only as it is.
- A seller is tied to you when they verify their mobile number through your link, and only before they pay. The first valid link wins and is never replaced by a later one. If the seller was already brought by a franchise partner, that stays.
- You cannot refer yourself, or a business you own or run (the same mobile, email or account). Such sellers earn nothing.
- While you are suspended or rejected, new sellers are not tied to you.
3. Your commission
- Commission = the seller’s listing fee excluding GST x 20%. Example: a listing fee of ₹2,500 earns ₹500 (before any TDS, see section 5). Advertising or other extras a seller buys at the same time are not part of the listing fee and earn nothing.
- It is earned only when the seller has completed the registration, the payment has been received by us (not merely a form submitted) and the seller has been approved. It is then marked payable.
- The percentage that applies is the one in force when the seller paid; later changes do not alter commission already earned.
4. Refunds, chargebacks and reversals
- If a seller’s payment is refunded or charged back, or the registration turns out to be fraudulent, the commission is reversed.
- If a commission had already been paid to you when it is reversed, you agree to return that amount, and we may set it against future commission.
5. Payouts
- Payable commission (after TDS where it applies) is paid by us by hand (for example by UPI or bank transfer). We record each payout with its reference, so you can see it on your dashboard.
- We ask for your payment details only when we are about to pay you.
- TDS: tax is deducted at source at 2% on your commission once your commission in a financial year (1 April to 31 March) crosses ₹20,000. Until then you receive the full amount. The commission that takes the year past the limit carries the TDS on the whole year’s total so far, and every commission after that carries TDS on itself. Your dashboard and each payout show the commission, the TDS and the amount you receive. Rates follow the tax rules in force and may change.
6. How you must behave
- Be truthful. Do not promise sellers sales, income or approval, and do not claim to speak for the Company.
- No spam, no misleading ads, no fake accounts, no paying or tricking people to register, and no use of the Company’s name or logo in a way that suggests you are the Company.
- We may suspend or end your account at any time for a breach, and unpaid commission linked to the breach may be withheld or reversed.
7. Your data
We keep your name, mobile, email, page link and follower count to run the programme. We show you only the last four digits of a seller’s mobile number and their business name. Please treat what you see as confidential.
8. Changes, law and disputes
We may change these terms, or the follower minimum or commission rate for sellers who join later, and will tell you on the dashboard or by email. These terms are governed by the laws of India; the courts at Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction. Write to us at contact@digitalbookofindia.com.
